According to close sources, the Times-Picayune in New Orleans will make the move from a daily printed paper to one that published 3 times a week.

This explains the recent redesign of their website, nola.com

If you’re in the advertising biz, then Mirren is an essential resource for staying on top of changes in marketing & advertising that could lead to new business. Advertising bizdev peeps would do well to bookmark this page and check back often (in addition to signing up for their services which are pretty substantial with the yearly subscription).

A perfect read for anyone who is running or trying to start a business that employs others. If you want a great work environment, check out this list.

Typically I feature a website that I find super cool, but this time, I couldn’t pass up this product. The Lytro is a neat little camera that you can use to zoom in & out of various points in a photograph. An interesting read - especially for a small business considering investing in an ad on Facebook. This is only one example; there may be others that would be considered more successful. New Orleans is more of a word of mouth town, for Pizza Delicious to get more folks in the door they need people to be talking about them to their friends. Facebook is still a good mouthpiece for that, but not the ad spots which I suspect go largely unnoticed.

With the balance of student debt topping $1 trillion, college presidents are recognizing that they must handle the costs of education through methods other than tuition increases.

This is a terrible & frustrating story, but I must say I am incredibly impressed with JPMorgan’s CEO Jamie Dimon. He has acted like a true leader under these circumstances.
